Pine River Site
The Pine River Site, also designated 20CX19, is an archaeological site located in Charlevoix, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
This site is a multicomponent site, with evidence of occupation during the Archaic (c. 3000 BC), Middle Woodland (c. AD 100), and Late Woodland periods (c. AD 1400).
Chert from the Pewangoing Quarry was found at this site, along with partially finished tools, animal remains, and edible plants.
From 1899 to 1967, the old Beach Hotel in Charlevoix stood at this site. Although there had been reports of an archaeological site on the property, no work was done until 1970, after the hotel burned. New condominiums were constructed at the site in about 1972.[1]
Castle Farms
Wedding venue in Charlevoix County, Michigan. Castle Farms is a special events facility located in Charlevoix, Michigan. It was constructed in 1918 by Albert Loeb, who was the Vice President of Sears, Roebuck and Company, and it was designed by Arthur Heun.[2]

US 31–Island Lake Outlet Bridge
Bascule bridge in Charlevoix, Michigan. The US 31–Island Lake Outlet Bridge is a double-leaf bascule bridge in downtown Charlevoix, Michigan, that carries U.S. Route 31 across Island Lake Outlet. It is the fifth bridge to cross the channel there with the first being a pedestrian-only structure that was built in the nineteenth century. The bridge was planned in 1940, but World War II delayed the acceptance of bids until 1947. Construction finished in 1949 and the bridge opened to traffic in late June of that year. The bridge is part of the National Highway System.[3]

The site is a Woodland period occupation, approximately AD 1000 - AD 1300.[5]
