Museum in Oranjestad, Aruba. The Numismatic Museum of Aruba is a former numismatic museum in the city of Oranjestad in Aruba. It was founded by J. Mario Odor and was opened on 13 November 1981. The collections included coins, paper money, and stamps of Aruba and other countries. The museum is now closed.[1]
National Archaeological Museum Aruba, Oranjestad
Museum in Oranjestad, Aruba. The National Archaeological Museum Aruba is an archaeological museum in the city of Oranjestad in Aruba. The collections covers from 2500 BCE to the 19th century.
In 1981, the Archaeological Museum of Aruba was opened. In 2009, the museum had moved to a new location and was reopened as the National Archaeological Museum Aruba.[2]

Fort Zoutman, Oranjestad
Museum in Oranjestad, Aruba. Fort Zoutman is a military fortification at Oranjestad, Aruba. Originally built in 1798 by African slaves, with materials provided by the Amerindians, who performed Statute Labour or corvée for the Dutch West India Company, it is the oldest structure on the island of Aruba, and regarded by UNESCO as a 'Place of Memory of the Slave Trade Route in the Latin Caribbean'. The Willem III Tower was added to the west side of the fort in 1868. The fort and tower were restored and re-opened in 1983 as the Historical Museum of Aruba.[3]

California Lighthouse, Noord

Iconic place for views and guided tours. The California Lighthouse is a lighthouse located at Hudishibana near Arashi Beach and the Sasariwichi dunes on the northwest tip of Aruba.
This lighthouse was named for the steamship California, which was wrecked nearby on September 23, 1891.[4]

Alto Vista Chapel, Noord

Humble house of worship rebuilt in 1952. Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel also known as "Pilgrims Church" that stands on the hills above the north shore of the sea and to the northeast of the town of Noord, on the island of Aruba, 27 km north of the coast of Venezuela. The church, painted on the outside in stark bright yellow, makes it a conspicuous religious monument for people to visit. The present Chapel of Alto Vista was completed in 1952 and stands in the same location as the original chapel, which was built by Domingo Silvestre, the Venezuelan missionary from Santa Ana de Coro, Venezuela, in 1750.
The Alto Vista Chapel was stated to be the location where conversion of Aruban Indians to Christianity started.[5]

Catholic church in Noord, Aruba. St Ann's Church is a Roman Catholic Church located along the northern portion of Aruba island within the Catholic Diocese of Willemstad. Although rebuilt several times, the church traces its history back to 1776. It temporarily closed for repairs due to damage in 2011 and has since reopened.[7]
